Elvis Presley – Please Don’t Stop Loving Me
Do you know?
“Please Don’t Stop Loving Me” was first recorded by American country music artists Porter Wagoner and Dolly Parton. It was released in July 1974 as the first single from the album Porter ‘n’ Dolly. Though Parton and Wagoner had each topped the charts as solo artists, and many of their duet singles had reached the country top-ten, “Please Don’t Stop Loving Me” was their only chart-topper as a duet act. The single stayed at number one for one week and spent a total of ten weeks on the country chart.
Elvis Presley recorded his version of “Please Don’t Stop Loving Me” in 1966 for the soundtrack to his motion picture Frankie and Johnny. It was also released as a B-side to “Frankie and Johnny”. Presley’s version of the song was a more pop-oriented arrangement than the original country version, and it featured a prominent string section.
Presley’s version of “Please Don’t Stop Loving Me” reached number one on the Billboard Hot 100 chart in the United States and number four on the UK Singles Chart. It also reached number one on the Canadian Singles Chart and number three on the Australian Singles Chart.
The song was a huge success for Presley, and it remains one of his most popular and beloved songs. It has been covered by many other artists over the years, including Jerry Lee Lewis, Dolly Parton (as a solo artist), and Celine Dion.
In 2002, “Please Don’t Stop Loving Me” was inducted into the Grammy Hall of Fame.

Here are the lyrics of the song!
Please don’t stop loving me
You were born just to be in my arms
In my arms
Please don’t stop loving me
Your lips were made just to be kissed by me
Kissed by meWhen I’m with you
I don’t know day from night, wrong from right
You are my world, that’s all I know
I love you so, I won’t let goPlease don’t stop loving me
Darling you’ll always be mine alone
Mine alone
